Profile of Dr. Ching Ye Hong

Dr. Ching Ye Hong

Dr Ching-Ye Hong is a Family Physician by training. She holds the Fellowship of the Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), as well as the Fellowship of the Malaysian Academy of Family Physicians (FAFP). She is in addition a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Malaysia (FAMM).

Dr Hong spent 12 years teaching Family and Community Medicine in the National University of Singapore's Department of Community, Occupational and Family Medicine. She was an examiner for Master of Medicine (Family Medicine) in Singapore, as well as the for the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, conducted jointly by the Australian College and the Malaysian Academy of Family Medicine. She is currently Deputy Director (Strategic Planning) in the Research and Strategic Planning Division, Health Promotion Board, Singapore.

Dr Hong has many publications in local and international journals, and has made presentations in conferences both in Singapore and internationally. She has won two research prizes, namely the best poster prize at the WONCA Europe Conference in 2000, and the best paper prize for a paper published in the Singapore Medical Journal in 2004. (See Appendix for the full publication list). She is a reviewer for several medical journals, as well as a member of the International Editorial Board of the International Journal of Medicine.
